Training program –
Fit for TPMS service

For workshops, we offer suitable information and training programs about the TPMS service.

In our training sessions, trainers explain – in theory and in practice – everything that is important for a successful TPMS service. In doing so, we not only refer to BH SENS products, but all tire pressure sensors and products related to the TPMS service.

We can provide training at your location or close to our plant in Bretten, Germany. The training program can be complemented by a plant tour, where you can experience the production of the IntelliSens tire pressure sensors. Register today!

TPMS training for automotive mechanics
We’ll familiarize you with the TPMS. Learn everything there is to know about the sensors. Experience first-hand the advantages of the IntelliSens in a practical tire fitting setting.

TPMS training for wholesalers
Find out everything you need to know about TPMS. The training covers the legal basics, TPMS types, the use of TPMS diagnostic tools, and the procedure in the tire service center. This way, you’ll always have the right answer and the right product on hand for your customers.

TPMS training for retailers
We’ll introduce you to the different types of tire pressure monitoring systems, since as a salesperson, it’s important for you to know the ins and outs of the TPMS market. Here you’ll gain a better understanding of the BH SENS sensors, and we’ll also bring you up-to-date on the latest developments.

TPMS training for wholesale technical support
In order to provide the proper advice to your customers, you need to have in-depth know-how. This also applies to TPMS. In our practical tutorial, we’ll familiarize you with the way they work, the types of systems available, and the basic concepts. Afterwards, you’ll be ready to face even the toughest questions or problems your customers might have.

FAQs

1. What type of TPMS sensors does Huf manufacture?

Currently there are many types of TPMS sensors on the market. Huf has developed a universal sensor, IntelliSens, which enables service centers to provide a quick replacement. The "IntelliSens" universal sensor is compatible with all originally installed TPMS sensors. As a supplier to major automobile manufacturers, Huf also produces OE replacement sensors. Huf delivers original parts to many car manufacturers, such as Porsche, BMW, Daimler, Audi, Bentley, Land Rover, and Ferrari. Huf replacement sensors have the same quality as OEM parts.

2. How do I find the matching sensor?

You will find the matching sensor on the Huf Product Finder www.products.intellisens.com

3. How are RDE replacement sensors installed?

Each Huf RDE replacement sensor can be used directly and without programming after installation. You have to make sure that you have selected the appropriate RDE sensor. After installing RDE sensors they need to be relearned to the vehicle. Please find further details in the manual included in every sensor packaging.

4. How are IntelliSens sensors installed?

Huf developed the IntelliSens universal sensor for the aftermarket, and it is suitable for most vehicle models with direct-measurement TPMS. With the aid of a TPMS diagnostic tool, the IntelliSens can be programmed for the particular vehicle model and then be installed directly. Please find further details in the manual included in every sensor packaging.

5. Do I have to program Huf sensors?

Each Huf RDE replacement sensor can be used directly and without programming after installation. After installing RDE sensors they need to be relearned to the vehicle.
UVS universal sensors can be programmed with a TPMS diagnostic tool the for the particular vehicle model. The relearn procedure is not requiered in most of the cases when using the copy function of the TPMS tool.

6. How do I mount a Huf tire pressure sensor with metal valve?

A Lubricate the rubber valve with tire bead lubricant. Make sure that the sensor is not coated by tire bead lubricant. B Insert the rubber valve through the hole from the inside of the rim and pull the rubber valve in by using an appropriate rubber valve mounting tool. Standard rubber valve mounting tools are not suitable for mounting tire pressure sensors. C Ensure the rubber valve is pulled vertically through the hole of the rim and the sensor is not tilted. You must check the correct fitment of the rubber valve after the mounting process is completed. D After the rubber valve is mounted, the sensor must not touch the rim at any point.

8. What kind of TPMS tool do I need to program a Huf sensor?

A complete list of compatible devices can be found in our Product portfolio. Huf replacement sensors do not require any programming.

9. I have a worn valve. Can I just replace the valve or does the whole sensor need to be replaced?

All Huf TPMS sensors consist of two parts which allows the easy and low-cost replacement of just the worn or defective valve without replacing the sensor.

10. When will a TPMS be required by law?

In the USA, a TPMS has been mandatory since 2008. In Europe, all vehicles produced since November 2014 are required to be equipped with a TPMS.
